What the regulator and the market expect
Psychosocial duties are live now
Model codes for managing psychosocial hazards now apply across most of Australia, Queensland from April 2023 and New South Wales enforceable from 1 July 2026. Tender panels and principals are beginning to ask to see the evidence itself.
Prequalification thresholds
Government building contracts over one million dollars expect third party certified quality, environmental and safety systems, Queensland Government PQC being one example. The ISO trio is the qualifying set every serious bidder is expected to hold.
Silica, stated correctly
The respirable crystalline silica exposure limit was halved to 0.05 mg/m3 on 1 July 2020 and engineered stone work carries its own licensing regime. If your documentation still references the old limit, that is an audit finding waiting to happen.
