In NSW, the codes are now the minimum.
Since 1 July 2026, section 26A of the WHS Act makes codes of practice the minimum standard. You follow the code, or manage the risk another way that is equal or better. Averon walks you through it one step at a time.
What the code asks, and where Averon helps.
Four steps, with your people consulted along the way. Averon guides each one. You make each call.
01
Identify the hazards
The free check walks you through 14 hazards, with where to look in your own records.
02
Assess the risk
You rate each hazard on Lucy's 5×5 matrix, with plain descriptions of each level.
03
Control it
Choose controls with the hierarchy beside you: change the work first, not only support after harm.
04
Review when things change
There is no fixed timetable. Averon reminds you before your review date, and you can revisit any hazard when things change.

If an inspector visits.
SafeWork NSW's Commissioner put it simply: businesses "should be able to demonstrate how they identify risks, consult with workers and take action to prevent psychological harms before they occur." In May and June, before this operation, SafeWork NSW issued more than 80 improvement notices.
Averon keeps those three things in one record: your hazards and ratings, who you consulted and what you heard back, and the actions you took. You decide each one, and you can open it at any time.
